VAT Exemption for Mobility

VAT relief is available if you suffer from long term illness or disability and require products which will assist you.

Any item in our range which is eligible for VAT relief will be noted as such on our website. These are typically our riser and recliners chairs these are sometimes referred to as lift and tilt chairs.

To order the product VAT free your disability must qualify.

For VAT purposes, you are deemed to be disabled or have a long-term illness if :

• you have a physical or mental impairment that affects your ability to carry out everyday activities, for example blindness
• you have a condition that’s treated as chronic sickness, like diabetes
• you are terminally ill 

You do not qualify if you’re elderly but not disabled, or if you’re temporarily disabled.

To place an order and gain the VAT relief :

• Order online and choose VAT FREE option.
• Order with us over the telephone.
• In either case we will e-mail a simple self declaration form asking you to confirm your eligibility by reply.

To place an order and pay VAT:

• Order online and choose ADD VAT option.
• Order with us over the telephone
