Welcome to Your Home Furniture Store Terms and Conditions.  Please read them before you use our website.  They do not affect your statutory rights.  Your use of this website constitutes your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions will govern all transactions on this website to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.

Our Terms

These terms of use constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Your Home Newark Limited (“we/us/our”), concerning your access to and use of the website as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). You agree that by accessing the Site, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all these terms of use. If you do not agree with all these terms of use, then you are expressly prohibited from using the site and you must discontinue use immediately. These terms and conditions of trading apply to all contracts between Your Home Newark Limited and/or our subcontractors (‘us/we/our’) and the customer (‘you/your’) in relation to all sales of our products and services.

Terms and conditions of supply

By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:
You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts

You are at least 18 years old
You are resident in the UK 

We may make changes to our site

We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time by posting the updated version on our Website, at which point they will apply to any future orders made (but will not affect any existing orders). Examples of reasons for change include changes to our products, prices, guarantee or delivery terms, changes to our business needs or supply structure, or for technical or legal reasons.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Your Home Newark and you in relation to your use of this Website and purchase of products, and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.

Purchase of Products

Creating the contract.  You can purchase products online, in store or by telephone.

Site purchase.  You place an order on the website by selecting an item and following the online prompts and instructions.

You will have an opportunity to check and correct any errors in your order up until you choose “Submit Order”.

After you have submitted your order online you will receive an order acknowledgement from us.  Please note this is merely an acknowledgement and not an acceptance of your offer.

If you are paying by card, we will authorise your debit or credit card and take the payment.  If you are paying by Klarna, they may or may not authorise your payment to us.

Klarna payment terms are currently only available online.

In store purchase. Products can also be purchased by cheque or cash.  If you are paying by cheque, your order will be processed once the cheque has been cleared at the bank.

Once payment has been received and processed, and we have determined stock availability, you will be advised of either an approximate delivery date or collection date. (Collection of orders is available locally to our store.)

At this point your order has been accepted and a legally binding contract between us and you has been created.

We reserve the right to decline all or part of any order for whatsoever reason and should this occur, we will inform you by email with the details.

We strongly recommend that you retain all email communications we send to you which relate to your order and contract.

If your order contains items against which we have taken only a % deposit, the balance outstanding must be paid in full (and cleared if paying by cheque) before final delivery is made.

Returns Refunds and Cancellations

We want you to be delighted with your product and will work with you to arrange a suitable replacement, carry out a fully guaranteed repair, or cancellation of your order.
We comply with all legislation and legal requirements and promise to work with you to reach a satisfactory outcome.

Cancellations and Consumer Rights

Distance Selling Regulations

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of purchase. Further advice about your legal right to cancel the Contract is available from your local Citizen’s Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.

These apply only to orders if the goods have not been custom made* to your specification.

Returning your order

You will need to notify us in writing that you wish to return your goods.  Goods must be returned in a saleable condition using suitable protective packaging.   Please take note that we ask you to take care of the items whilst they are in your possession. We will charge a fee to collect your returned item. The fee will be dependent on the criteria of the product, including size, made to order and location of delivery.

Custom made to order furniture and sofas*

These special items cannot be cancelled once they have been manufactured, however in some special circumstances we may still be able to take return of these items, but a restocking fee of up to 40% may be applicable.

*Custom made to order furniture is any furniture where options have been specifically chosen by yourself e.g., colour, fabric style, leather, wood finish, legs/feet and nonstandard sizing.


Once agreed it is your responsibility to return the goods to us.  We will happily arrange collection of your purchase which is a chargeable service, dependant on size and value of your order.

Once we have received the returned items and inspected them, then the agreed refund will be issued.

Furniture disposal

When you purchase items from Your Home, we may be able to offer this service and collect your old furniture for disposal. We will safely recycle and dispose of the items. This will be a chargeable service starting from £45.  Contact us for further details.


All the products you purchase from Your Home come with a minimum of a 1-year guarantee, some suppliers offer extended guarantees and warranties. You may wish to enquire directly with us to confirm.


In the unlikely event you may have a complaint please contact our store directly so we can resolve this.


1.1.  The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Site.
1.2.  Any order you place with us is not accepted until we have provided you with a written sales order confirmation (by email, post or in person).
1.3. Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other document issued by us is subject to correction without any liability on our part.
1.4. If we accept your Order, these Terms will form the basis of the Contract between us. You should print a copy of these Terms otherwise save them for future reference. We suggest you also keep a copy of the order confirmation email.
1.5. If we do cancel your order we will notify you by email and will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of the contract as soon as possible, and in any event within 14 days of the cancellation of your order.
1.6. If you want to make any changes to your order, e-mail us or telephone us on 01636 859111 for further assistance. Please note that when products are ordered at different times, we cannot guarantee colour matching due to variations between batches. Changing an order may cause a delay with your delivery time and may alter the price you have been quoted.
1.7. Our images (including photographs and videos) of goods displayed on our Website are for illustrative purposes only. They may not be representative of the actual size of the Goods. Also, we cannot guarantee that the way your computer displays colours will accurately reflect the colours of the Goods.
1.8. As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to Goods that are faulty or not as described. Contact your Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office for more information. These Terms do not affect your legal rights. A manufacturer's guarantee also applies to some of the Goods we sell. Please ask for full details of any manufacturers guarantees.

Pricing and Payment

2.1. Prices on our website are given in pounds sterling. Prices include VAT and any other applicable taxes but exclude delivery charge. We will ensure that the prices stated on the website are accurate and up to date. In the event of any pricing errors, you will be notified by email or telephone, and we will give you the opportunity to re-confirm your Order at the correct price.
‍2.2. You will also be able to purchase our products in store and via telephone. Your chosen payment type, (Debit card, credit card or BACS, cheque or cash) will be charged when you submit your order online, in store or via telephone whether you are paying in full or have only chosen to pay a deposit. This includes deposits prior to the finance application, if chosen, and therefore regardless of the finance applications loan decision.
‍2.3. Depending on how you choose to pay, your payment may be subject to validation checks and/or third-party authorisations.

Delivery and collection of purchased goods

3.1. Home Delivery - We will deliver the goods to you, using the address you provided at the time of purchase, regrettably we can only offer our delivery service to UK mainland.

We aim to deliver the goods in an agreed time stated in the initial sale agreement.

Website purchases, unwrapping and assembly of goods - Please be aware that our internet delivery service offers either a door step delivery service or delivery to your room of choice only.  This enables our internet web prices to remain competitive for you.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the dimensions of the products you purchase online will fit through your access points and the room you intend the purchase for.

‍3.2. Collection - We aim for you to collect the goods in an agreed time stated in the initial sale agreement.

NOTE: - Please note that our delivery/collection times may differ due to lead times and stock levels from our suppliers.

‍3.3. Once your order is complete and has arrived in store, (if ordered from a supplier) we will inform you of the process via email and/or telephone to arrange a delivery/collection time.

‍3.4. Our storage facilities are for transit purposes only and we cannot afford to leave items there for a long period of time.

‍3.5. Where applicable we will assemble your items, in the exact room you have chosen for an additional fee.

‍3.6. Once we have delivered your paid for item and the proof of delivery paperwork you become the owner of the items.
