The Keswick riser recliner lifts and tilts forwards to help you get in and out of the chair without strain - ideal for anyone living with arthritis, reduced mobility, or joint pain. All models are VAT exempt for customers with a qualifying medical condition, and every chair comes with Sherborne's 5-year guarantee covering all motors, mechanisms and electrical parts.

The Keswick riser recliner is available in four sizes to suit different builds and room sizes:

Petite - W80cm × D95.5cm × H97.5cm Designed for smaller frames and lower seat heights. Ideal for users under 5'3" or anyone who finds standard chairs too deep or too tall to get comfortable in.

Small - W80cm × D95.5cm × H103cm A mid-range size suited to average builds. A good starting point if you're between sizes - slightly more height and depth than the Petite without the full footprint of the Standard.

Standard – W82.5cm × D98.5cm × H106cm The most popular size for average to larger frames. Offers the most legroom and recline depth of the three fabric sizes.

Royale - the largest option in the range, built for taller users or those who want maximum seat width and recline space. If you're over 6ft or broader in build, the Royale is the right choice.

Keswick Recliner Chairs: Single & Dual Motor

All Sherborne Keswick riser recliners are electric, operated by a simple handset. You have a choice of two motor options:

Single Motor One motor controls both the footrest and the backrest together as one movement. The footrest rises first, then the back reclines as you continue to hold the button. To rise from the chair, the process reverses. The single motor is the most straightforward option and requires just 20cm of clearance from the wall to fully recline.

Dual Motor Two separate motors control the footrest and backrest independently. This means you can raise your feet while keeping the back upright, recline the back without raising your feet, or move both together - giving you far more flexibility to find your ideal position. The dual motor also reclines further towards a near-horizontal sleeping position. It requires 38cm of clearance from the wall.

Both options come with a single-use emergency battery back-up fitted as standard, which returns the chair to the upright position in the event of a power cut. A multi-use rechargeable battery back-up is available as an optional extra.

Sherborne Keswick Petite Riser Recliner

The Sherborne Keswick Petite Recliner is specifically designed for smaller users who find standard riser recliners too large to sit in comfortably. A lower seat height and shallower seat depth mean your feet rest flat on the floor and the lumbar support sits in the right position - both important for comfort and for the lift mechanism to work as intended.

If you've tried riser recliners before and found them too big, or if you're buying for someone under 5'3", the Petite is the model to look at first. It's available in the same wide choice of fabrics and leathers as the rest of the Keswick range, and is eligible for VAT exemption for qualifying customers.
